Feminist, optimist, activist, wanderer and Book lover.

The blog started with observations from my time in India, mostly rather clumsy rants about the status and role of women. I have and will continue to get fired up about gender issues.

Now I’m settling into my year in Australia and am joyfully indulging my love of books and fascination with bookshops. Ms Peacock’s intention is therefore to explore leather-bound wonderlands and paperback escapes down-under, and maybe get a little political some of the time.

As poet Carl Sandburg aptly put it, “I’m an idealist, I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way”.

In an effort to follow Stephen King’s advice On Writing, I’m going to attempt to make posts more regular. If you’re following I’m gonna try at least once a week- mondays or fridays or both. We’ll see how that goes!
